Hate is love that’s been injured. So if you have hate in your heart, you have love there also.

You know, I would appreciate it if you didn’t just queue me up in your life. Could you alt reblog me just once?

We live in a society where everyone wants the laundry done - but no one wants to do the laundry.

It baffles me how often people forget that humanity begins with human.

To Be Honest

As a Christian who sits in a pew every Sunday praying and worshipping to my God. I find it disgraceful that people would believe that who I am a gay man is not acceptable. Everyone has heard it time and time again - what the Bible ACTUALLY says on the subject. All I am saying is that we need to be a generation that is taking time to bring people into the church. Not sending messages of hating which makes people not want to come near it. We aren’t meant to go protest, and shout God’s word out of context. We’re called to love - to pray for God’s will. Not yours. God has plans far beyond what your brain - or even mine - can imagine. So, please. Let me be at peace sitting in my pew, with my rainbow bracelet on. Let me think about who I am and who I want to be. And let me leave the church feeling revived and happy at what God is doing in my life - and share that with everyone around me.

The only thing the camera seems to miss is the only thing you’re confident about. Physically, the camera can create a perfect rendering of yourself. However, it cannot pick up your personality. Your charm, kindness. It doesn’t know how to make an image of your mind. It can’t comprehend producing a copy of your character. The camera only sees what is physically there. Beauty is so much more than what a camera could ever attempt capturing. Beauty is not built around a framed 8’ x 10’.

I have always longed to hold someone’s hand and look in their eyes and tell them just how special they are to me. To be able to share a life with them - to know that they are just as happy to see me everyday as I am to see them. I long to feel the weight of love pressing against my heart, to hear the sound of happiness in my ears, and see joy standing right beside me. I can’t wait to be able to whisper my bliss as I hug another person. To know what it’s like to be so connected to someone that you forget there was ever a time when you didn’t know them. I want to be able to be with someone so long that people don’t even know that there was a time before ‘us’ before we became one. I want to experience the remarkably beautiful thing called love. With someone. Holding them. Cherishing them. And never letting them go.

I never want to have to give someone the key to my heart. That is a sacred lock. Something that is to be earned. To be forged from what we have together. To be shared - not given, not taken.

This is one of the most brilliant things I have ever seen! The speech is from The Great Dictator - spoken by Charlie Chaplin. The acclaimed silent film star speaks in this clip. And what he says is not something you’ll want to miss. I did NOT make this video and own no rights to it - if you know who did, please let me know; I would LOVE to give them credit for making this!

"I am for gay marriage because I really want to marry my dog. If gays can get married, the next step would be me and Snuggles!"

Said no one, ever!
